Hishtapchs HaNefesh

Hishtapchus Hanefesh is a powerful work dealing with prayer. Rabbi Nachman taught that tefilah is our main weapon and that any challenge can be overcome through prayer. The content in this sefer is taken from the teachings of Rebbe Nachman's Lekutey Moharan and Rebbe Nosson's Lekutay Halchos. The power and importance of prayer in its different facets are brought to light through many sources in the Torah and Jewish literature. A special emphasis is placed on the art of Hisbodidus: secluded personal conversation with Hashem in one's mother tongue. Rabbi Nachman taught how one should do Hisbodidus daily pouring out one's heart to Hashem. Hishtapchus Hanefesh was compiled by R' Alter Bezhiliansky of Teplik. This sefer breeds strong motivation for tefilah and gives one advice how to pray affectively. One leaves with a new appreciation and understanding of the importance and beauty of prayer, and awe at the amazing tool called "tefilah" at our disposal.
